Celebrate the Women in our Lives

Celebrate the Women in our Lives

I was fortunate and grateful to be invited to an event last week where I was surrounded by women who I have admired for ages.  I sat there thinking I shouldn’t even be in the same room as them.  Some of them I support in business and some of them I followed on social media.  All of the women in that room had something special about them.

I sat there listening to them all talking about their lives and the work that they do, their families, their goals, how they juggle so much and I was thinking all the time, women are such amazing creatures, is there anything we cant do?

Sitting there listening to these women and talking to them was so inspiring but it did make me realise I will never be where they are, simply because they started earlier than me and because they are already household names, because they have the tools to make themselves great and because they chose to be great.

I know women who chose to work, who have to work, who are CEO’s who chose to raise children, who choose not to have children, who can't have children, who raise other peoples children, who juggle on a daily basis, whose every minute of the day is taken up doing things for others until they fall into bed each night for minimal sleep and then get up the next day and do it all again. We are the best jugglers of life and multi taskers.

I think Women are just amazing.

Therefore It really upsets me when I hear of or see women compete with other women, who intentionally try to compete in business or in life.  If we all worked together and wanted the best for everyone, we could all be successful in every aspect of our lives.  There is enough to go around and if we all built each other up and supported one another imagine the greatness that would come from that.  We all need to set an example of this so that future generations don’t have to learn this it just comes naturally

I am surrounded daily by amazing women who inspire me, I raised them, I work beside and with them, I see women every day who are basically running the world.  Sometimes I think women can also be lonely, full lives from the outside don’t always equate to full lives on the inside.

So look at little deeper, care a little more and always be kind.

Kindness makes the world go round.
